Past 50th Reunion Planning Meetings and Final 50th Reunion Reflections

Dear EHS 1967 graduates, spouses and friends,

Thank you to everyone that planned and attended our 50th EHS 1967 reunion. You made our 50th reunion an awesome, successful, fun, memorable event.  

We also had many graduates that wanted to attend, but couldn’t make it for various reasons from hurricanes to hospitalizations. We want you to know you were missed.
How would everyone like to attend and share an EHS 1967 70th birthday party? 

It has been suggested and discussed with positive responses that the idea about us sharing a 70th birthday party in two years is doable.  We have some money left over for food, drinks and cake.  This money is left from our 50th reunion and we believe we can throw us all a 70th birthday party at Woodring’s Airport at Tom Smith’s Hanger without any additional charges. 

In addition, Enid High School Class of 1967 please be sure we have your correct email address.  If your email has changed since our reunion, please send your email update to – Kathy Newman Goddard  kgoddard49@gmail.com

CLASS of 1967 50th REUNION Reflection

 

Our reflection session for the 1967 50th Class Reunion Post Planning Committee will be held on Friday October 20, 2017 at 6:00 p. m. at 500 South Independence (corner of Owen K. Garriott and Independence, the old Education Building) in the Enid Public Schools Board Room.

It takes a tremendous amount of work to make something like this happen.  Special thanks to Ron Garrison for his leadership and Steve Gabelsberg for his accounting expertise and to everyone who helped. Ronnie Kaye was the best DJ ever. Looking forward to our 55th!

CLASS of 1967 50th REUNION

 

The last planning session for the 1967 50th Class Reunion Planning Committee meeting was held on August 25 2017 at 6:00 p. m. at 500 South Independence (corner of Owen K. Garriott and Independence, the old Education Building) in the Enid Public Schools Board Room with 25 attending.

Ron showed a video from Raines Video Production of the ’66 EHS reunion. They will send postcards and attendees will have the option of purchasing the video. Also, a class photograph will be taken on the front steps Saturday morning. Those will be available to order online.

 

Kim will get tablecloths for Friday night. He will also provide 16oz cups, dinnerware, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and cookies. Water, tea and food will be provided. Attendees may also bring other beverages of their choosing.


VERY IMPORTANT! THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 1ST. Send registration form and a check to Steve Gablesberg. Caterer must have firm numbers, so those who haven’t sent in their registration, please do so by September 1.

 

Next Meeting:  Our last very important reunion planning meeting is scheduled for Friday 6:00 p.m. on August 25th at the Board of Education conference room in Enid.  Then, see you at our reunion!

The 4th planning session for the 1967 50th Class Reunion Planning Committee meeting was held on March 24th 2017 at 6:00 pm at 500 South Independence (corner of Owen K. Garriott and Independence, the old Education Building) in the Enid Public Schools Board Room with 21 attending.  

 

 

 Meeting Topics:

 

Past Email Sent Out: Ron Garrison sent out an email notification of our 50th reunion and attached our information post card that later mailed on Jan. 21st.  Steve Gabelsberg reported we had about 50 post cards returned. As a result, we have deleted all old incorrect email addresses from our members list and are requesting that you email Kathy Newman Goddard at kmgoddard@nwosu.edu your or other class members' current email address.

CLASS of 1967 50th REUNION

 

The 3rd planning session for the 1967 50th Class Reunion Planning Committee meeting was held on Jan. 20th 2017 at 6:00 pm at 500 South Independence (corner of Owen K. Garriott and Independence, the old Education Building) in the Enid Public Schools Board Room with 23 class members attending.  

 

 

 Meeting Topics:

 

Email Sent Out Last Week: Ron Garrison sent out an email notification of our 50th reunion and attached the information post card we approved in our last meeting. We deleted all old incorrect email addresses and are requesting that you email Kathy Newman Goddard at kmgoddard@nwosu.edu your current email address.  


Sept. 8th & 9th 50th Reunion Events: Our 50th reunion schedule of events can be found on our Navigation Bar "Events/Registration". 

 

Post Cards: Richard and Bonnie Szczepaniak had our 50th reunion post cards printed and stamped already before our meeting. These post cards were then mailed by Ron Garrison Saturday Jan. 21, 2017.  Please watch for your post card. If you don't receive one, please send me your correct address, phone number and email address.

 

Web registration form: The form is now available on our website.  Our top navigation button "Events/Registration" will take you to the correct web page where you will find the registration form link. The registration form is to be printed, filled out and sent to Steve Gabelsberg along with your check. 


Who is Attending:  Our top navigation button labeled "Names Attending" will take you to our web page that lists 1967 members that have already paid and are planning on attending.  

 

Updating 1967 Graduates Information:  We need your help in locating classmates. Please click the "Class Members" button at the top of this web page, which will take you to our current classmate contact list. You will find a link with the most recent information we have for each 1967 EHS graduate. First, please verify your own contact information and check to see if you know of changes that need to be made for others and last, email Kathy Newman Goddard at kmgoddard@nwosu.edu your updates.

 

Reunion Dates:  The reunion will be held on September 8th & 9th, 2017. On Friday night, September 8th we will be meeting at Woodring Airport. Also, reservations are already made for Saturday night, September 9th, at the Enid Convention Center (formerly Convention Hall). The cost of this year's reunion will be $75.00 per person, the same as the cost of the 45th reunion.

The 2nd planning session for the 50th Class of 1967 Reunion was held in OKC at Bravo's Nov. 02, 2016 with 20 class members attending.  

 

 Meeting Topics:
Music:  The REAL KOMA Ronnie Kaye will be our Disc Jockey for Saturday evening!!!

 

Post Cards: Richard and Bonnie Szczepaniak will set up our post card format and pictures. These post cards will be sent out as notification of our 50th reunion and as a request for updating information on everyone on our list. We will be approving this in our next meeting.
